Train Your Dog To Roll Over

When you are starting the training it can be a good idea to be holding a treat in one hand on the floor. Your dog will respond more if there is something in it for them.

You need to signal to the dog that it is time for him to roll over. You can do this by moving your hand in an arc position in front of the dog's face.

You might need to give your dog a hand rolling over to his side by using your other hand.

If you are unable to roll him over all the way then just roll him to his side and continue. You can work up to rolling over completely.

Once your dog submits to your moving his body then give him a treat.

Practice this and in time your dog will catch on. Soon your dog will be rolling over on his own.
