The Flintstones

I loved watching the Flintstones as I was growing up. It was an extremely funny cartoon with some great characters. I think Fred was definitely the star. Anyway I created this hub to share more with you about The Flintstones.

A lot of people don’t know this but the title of the show was going to be The Flagstones. It was once the show was commissioned that the title was changed. It spent a brief time in development called The Gladstones, but then became The Flintstones. The scripts for the show are typical of a 1950s American situation comedy. Each issue is resolved with a laugh at the end of each episode.

Most of episodes are standalone storylines however there is the occasional story arc. This is most noticeable with a series of episodes surrounding the birth of Pebbles. A major achievement off The Flintstones was that it was the first primetime animated series to last more than two seasons.
