Get Rid Of Slugs Organically

Slugs in your garden can be a real pest and you do want to get rid of them. Now I recommend you try the organic way to get rid of them. This hub has some good organic ways to get rid of slugs.

A spray that is caffeine based is effective. Make sure you spray all the infected areas. In 2002 American scientists proved the effects of caffeine. You can get a spray such as Slug Snub from Garden Robusta which is a good one. This spray is totally harmless to pets, kids and plants. 

Slugs are also put off by coffee grounds and egg shells. In a circular perimeter around the plants place the coffee grounds and egg shells. 

Where the slugs are crawling spread salt on the ground. 

There are organic slug deterrents that contain sharp, water-absorbing, stone chips. Crawling over sharp stone is not something slugs like to do. 

Slugs do not like red leaves so plant lots of this type of plant.
