All About Jennifer Connelly

Jennifer Connelly is the daughter of an antiques dealer and a clothing manufacturer. She was born in the Catskill Mountains of New York in 1970.  Her parents are descendants of immigrants from Russia and Poland. Jennifer was raised in Brooklyn Heights and attended St. Ann's private school. During this time the family spent four years the family spent living in Woodstock, New York. A friend suggested that she audition at a modeling agency.

So she started her career at the age of ten. Jennifer began in newspaper and magazine ads before moving on to television commercials. What followed next was movie auditions. Her first film role was as Deborah Gelly which was a supporting role in Sergio Leone's 1984 gangster epic, Once Upon a Time in America. This was made in 1982 when she was 11. More movies followed and the rest is history.
