Actress Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway is a brilliant actress. She already has some very good movies to her name and is becoming a draw card in her own right. Born in Brooklyn her parents inspired Hathaway into becoming an actress. At the age of six the whole family moved to Millburn in New Jersey. Anne is not an only child. There is an older brother, Michael and also a young brother, Thomas.

Anne was raised as Catholic. She has said that she wanted to be a nun during her childhood. When Anne was 15 she decided not to become a nun as a result of finding out that her brother, Michael, is gay.

As a preschooler Hathaway was in a Montessori program. Due to this she entered first grade while she was technically still a kindergartner. Anne Hathaway went to and graduated from Millburn High School. At this school she was in many school plays. Her role asWinifred in Once Upon a Mattress at high school earned her a New Jersey Rising Star Award nomination for Best Performance by a High School Actress. Anne was a member of the Barrow Group Theater Company's acting program. She was the first teenager ever admitted into the program. Anne is actually trained as a stage actress which is where she prefers performing.
